Without Racket

Time during the ATP season is very brief, so Fernando tries to make the most of his time to visit new places and do what he likes.

The fifth Beatle at Abbey Road

It’s known that Fernando has London (2008) as one of his favourite cities. This time he wanted to do something different and meet places he had never been. That’s why he took a picture at Abbey Road, where the studios of Apple (today EMI) were, tha place where the Beatles recorded there best’s albums. One of them, in 1969, was called Abbey Road and the four of them show themselves crossing the street. That’s why this is the most famous crosswalk in the world.

In Germany with beers and a trophy
The tournament of Munich was just beginning (2008) when the organization invited Fernando along with Gael Monfils. Both were invited to one the most famous restaurants of Germany, the Hofbräuhaus. They tasted traditional beer that is served in a one liter jar, and they also dressed up as the tradition of the region of Baviera, with lederhosen, shirts and hats. Feña won the tournament that week so this visit was an anticipated celebration.

With King Kong at the Empire State

Everthing was set for the US Open (2007) in New York, but before Fernando went to see the biggest towe of the Big Apple: The Empire State. What Feña didn’t know is that King Kong was at the roof of the famous New York building.

At the Wailing Wall

Before playing Davis Cup in Israel (2007), Feña made a trip to a spiritual and historical place. He went to Jerusalem to visit the Wailing Wall, a sacred place for judaism. He also visited the Temple of Jerusalem, that’s from year 37 B.C.
