Gonzo advanced to QFs at home

Fernando Gonzalez defeated spaniard Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo 6-4, 6-3 to get a ticket into quarter-finals of the Movistar Open.
Gonzalez had to work more than he did in his first-round match against Hernandez, but his first serve, forehands and drop shots lead him into the eight best of the tournament played at Chicureo, Santiago.
His next challenge will be another spaniard, Marcel Granollers (112º), in the first meeting between them.
Fernando is biding to win his fifth trophy in Chile and third in a row.
